This is an excellent example! Did you know you can attach capx files to the game? Click "Edit game" at the top if you wish to do so!

Could something as complex as Bastion be done with sort of technique? Thanks for posting. Have been debating on whether to do an iso or a platform game next. :)

I'm sure something similar to Bastion could be done, only things i havent explored yet is animations and angles (to keep it as it should be when rotating, and combined with other stuff). I also tried some stuff with the mouse (for example ranged attacks), but there is a known bug of using the keyboard mouse or something (in chrome?).

But yeah, you could consider this example the very first step in making great and complex isometric games!

A little note; the object that triggers the "behind-house" (when the player is behind the house) state could be shaped the in the same shape as the overlapping house, instead of being squares.

I'm fascinated by your silhouette effect. Can't wait to get home so I can download the capx file and figure it out.
