Thank you all for your kind comments. The music was made by Kevin MacLeod at Incompetech.com.
I made all the graphics, yes.

The game is pretty well down, but I'm really not fond of the sound of the octopuss, it's unpleasantly gross, and I'm generaly not one to get upset by this sort of things, but I don't know, the volume or the frequencies, but something is just not cutting it.

And the fact that turning audio off just affects the music is a bit of a downer.

Also the zoom out is a cool idea, but I would have liked to be able to see more of the level on max zoom out.

I tried to make it past level 1.7, but really the sound of the main character is disturbing me, too bad.

Quite cool.

It's nice that you've made the effort of building a proper intro cut scene.

I'm not for "saturation everywhere" or "full screen eye burning high contrast" but there's an overall lack of visual hierarchy in the game.
- the character could have a little element that distinguish him from the rest of the elements. Just bumping the red a bit would help.
- the back arrow on the about/controls/select screens is hard to witness, since there was all those fonts onscreen in the "about" screen, I was looking for the "back" button. Could be fixed with a color used only/prominently on the interactive elements.

The zoom slider could have a -/ sign I didn't notice it at first.
The character sound is really reminiscent from Super Meat Boy, as the big saws for sure and to an extent the green stylised grass.
It's hard not to think of SMB, and being put against this game is quite harsh. Bringing people into your own universe allows you more freedom and you will be sure that players will approach the game with a fresh mindset.

Don't get me wrong, bringing a game to completion state is quite a feat already and I will play more of it, I'm curious about what's gonna happen next :)

**Couldn't find an edit button, sorry for the double post.**
The fact that Chrome is mandatory is a pain, I don't like this browser (personal taste again).
At least I would have like to be able to try it in Firefox. Plus there's no explanation on the disclaimer screen, I thought the game had crashed as there were sounds playing in the background and the seemed to react to the inputs.
Also Instead of "warning!", displaying a "sorry!" message would have been nicer.<< nitpicking here.

Awesome job! I really like the art direction, the "feel" and the "snappiness" of the game. Well polished, too! Definitely one to show to people who wonder what C2 can do. :)

Thank you all for your feedback! I appreciate your honest comments.
I was getting a little pressed for time when looking for the octopus sound effects, and VERY pressed for time when making the mute button! I'll make sure it mutes the audio in the next update! Also, if you have any other ideas for the sound of an octopus...
Being able to see the whole level on zoom out is unfortunately a problem when I have long, skinny levels, glitching up with the bounded scrolling.

Talking about the visual heirachy... I think it is obvious that I am not at all an artist. I'd need some advice as to where to go with that. I don't want to bump up the red in the character, for SMB reasons.
I'll try to make the 'back' buttons a little more obvious...

I did worry that it was quite similar to SMB. I try to make it obvious that the big things are gears. And coincidence or not, these as an obstacle really do make sense. Unfortunately in general, the context of the game brings up parallels with Super Meat boy.
But I don't think my game is as 'copycat' as Terraria or something.

About Chrome, it is not at all mandatory, just recommended. The game should work fine in Firefox, it will just lag and the music doesn't loop, etc. Unfortunately that's just how it is... Firefox and the other browsers just don't have what it takes...
