10 amazing level of 3D maze.
Almost done. Well it's polished enough. But I'm still not happy. Might add/change things if I have time.

I'm not a fan of the way the screen turns when you press A or D. I think it needs to be fixed to show an animation of turning because it causes slight disorientation the way it is now.

However I absolutely love the character and the way he runs, I think over all it's quite a good game and I enjoyed playing.
Walking on the side walls is an amusing twist lol.

@bleak
Yeah the yawing interpolation is a bit hacky, but it looked a bit like it was missing. When I added the forward/backward and rolling interpolation.
I also add the idea to overlay a smearing sprite to fake motion blur, but got lazy on that :D.
Also I'm not entirley sure about showing a yawing animation on the character. Might try it though as I enter a level design/sound design/polishing phase.

I think it would be adequate to have the character stay still as the view before him rotates.

Can't wait to play future versions.

I like the way you create the feeling of depth and it reminds me the early days of 2.5D games :-). Wish you all the best for your future creations!

Maybe a lack of feedbacks when we grab the needed cristals to pass on the next level

Thanks guys (:

@Bleak I'll see if I can make something better but I think I'll work on sound and UI first

@Gallium yeah you're right I'm not pleased either about the look of the pickups. Might rework them. I also think with sound and yeah a bit more visual feedback it will be better (:

Amazing game Yann! No surprises there ;D.

I do wonder how you used layer rotate, or layout rotate to make this game though. :D

@smitchell
You're the first to ask and your question is quite justifiable as rotation is not the main mecanism of the game.
I use rotation only for the rolling movement when you jump on walls (the feature appears on level 6). And I think it fit perfectly her, it would have been a bit harder to make the wall sprite rotate instead.
At first as I programmed all the navigation without interpolation I thought it was maybe too anecdotical. That's why I wasn't really sure that I would enter the rotary with it.
But now that all the forward/backward/yawing/rolling interpolations are here, I think it fits really well and do its part.
I indeed don't use layer rotate (and honestly I still don't understand how it could be usefull for others as collision never follows)
I just use layout angle.

I'll let the rotary judge the right to allow this entry or not (:

Well either way its a great game, I never got to level six, don't have that much time on my hands to play games ;D. But are you keeping the player like that? or are you going to color him in?

Hehe color of course (:... It's just that I prefer getting the animation right before cleaning it. And as nobody seems to complain about it, should be ok (:

Simply and nice. But it isn't rotary game.
