Construct 2 Release r79.4

15 February 2012

Description

Download
27 mb, Windows 7/Vista/XP

The Chrome 'sticky keys' bug workaround ended up causing some issues with keyboard input in exported games in iframes (e.g. Scirra Arcade, Kongregate and Facebook). So I'm afraid there's one more release to fix that. Apologies if the release emails have been filling up your inbox. Hopefully it's the last of r79! Next build we'll be splitting to stable and testing branches so this shouldn't happen again.

Don't forget to check the r79 changelog if you missed it.

Changelog

Change
When inserting new instances to a layout, the default value for family instance variables is now taken from that object's specific type
Bug Fix
Keyboard input should now work again in iframed-games, while still working around the Chrome 'sticky keys' bug in non-iframed games
Bug Fix
Check failure setting instance variables with no instances in layout. Instance variable properties are now hidden when there are no instances.

We've had one issue or another that breaks games for some users since r79, and we don't want to leave a build up that doesn't work for some people, so we've done a bunch of releases to try and get everything working for everyone.

As long as you continue to squash bugs, I don't mind about so many releases coming up. :)
