Hi there,

I'm into Construct since the classic one, and tracking C2's development with amaze.

Recently I've decided to change my webpage to more dynamic one, and i think C2 can be a great tool for creating websites for a long time. So I've used C2 to create my webpage from scratch, and it turns out as amazing.

You can check it here:
http://ugurcanorcun.com/

It still needs some work, but at least it's groundwork is ready.

Can you drop a feedback about, how does it look in different resolutions?
I know It looks okay higher than 1280x760, but I don't have an idea for resolutions below.

Hi!

First of all, cool website! A few people have talked about using Construct 2 to make websites, and it's really interesting to see it being used this way.

Secondly though, there are a lot of BIG drawbacks to using Construct 2 for making websites.

Canvas really isn't the best medium for a website because search engines will probably have great difficulty crawling it. That's not to say it's flat out wrong, but designing a website in a canvas is a very niche requirement and should be done with caution!

As long as you are aware of the implications and have your reasons, well done!

Thanks ^^

Oh, I know it's hard for crawling, but currently i don't demand it. As you can notice, even all the texts are .png ^^'

And I think I can get around resouluton thing when you implement object groups.

~So, Is there a possibility for implementing webfonts into C2?

Webfonts are on the to do list to be implemented into Construct 2 using Googles font API, it should be a good feature.

I'd still stress that Construct 2 might not be the best tool for websites, for example basic user functionality such as:

- Copy/paste text can't be done
- No right click
- Not being able to bookmark individual pages

Are all basic user functionality that visitors will miss out on and a lot may not like these facts!

However again I'm pretty impressed someone's done a website with Construct 2!

C2 websites would be quite nice for typical portfolio websites. Simple informations, gallerys etc. For the "no right click" it's good if you do not want anyone to copy your images ;)

Edit: and it's kind of cool to see a web page made in C2 :)

Cool site.
You should consider using the audio object, and put some samples of your tunes directly in your "showcase" section.

Yay for the webfonts!

You're right on C2's lack of compability as "web page" usage, but as long as it keeps developing like this, people may not need those "Legacy" functions at all.

Websites are changing along with other technologies. Maybe we won't need right clicking anymore. If I want to user to copy a text, I can do it via a classy button which appers when user hovers over the text. There may be more drawbacks. But people can find creative alternatives for those :)

There's so many people are creating their personal websites completely with Flash for a way back. I think HTML5 (and so C2) can supersede Flash at almost any aspect in near future :D

Thank you for creating this amazing software!

I will, but I'm waiting for We Want Ogg to success :D

Also I wonder if it's possible to use iFrame in C2's canvas, so we can embed external objects into it.
>_>
