Whenever I click play in construct 2, the game jitters a bit. Like it's loading things, which can be pretty annoying at 60fps. If I could glcok it at 40fps constant, then you wouldn't notice the jitters, why would these occur?

I don't think it's too much CPU stuff, because I increase the particals 10 fold and the FPS remains the same.

I have three particle generators generating 16x16 images of leaves, of 1 per second.

So what could be causing this stutter?

Which browser are you using? Is it the same in different browsers? Do you have up to date graphics card drivers?

I have a HD6850 and I have updated to the latest catalyst drivers (released this week).

I might upload my project and others can tell me if it is slow or not. Could by my brower or something, but I tried in both opera and ff.

Try Chrome, it tends to be smoother.

Wow, chrome is much smoother.

Is chrome better with HTML 5 games?

Chrome and Firefox are the best two browsers for HTML5 games. IE9 is pretty good too, but is let down by a lack of the latest features (e.g. no advanced audio support, no webcam support, no fullscreen API...) and also doesn't support WebGL, so it tends to be a bit slower. Opera isn't very good, not even Opera 12, because it has hardware acceleration off by default, so it's usually very slow. Safari for Windows is the same level as Opera 12. Safari for Mac is OK though.

Hmm, might write up a tutorial with this info.
