This is an advance wars movement engine that I started a long time ago but never finished. It took me a long time to make so please don't be harsh.
It's still not commented so it's pretty much impossible to understand how it works, but i plan to comment it soon.You can still try to use some parts in your game though.

I think this is the best grid movement tutorial. Thank you for sharing.

But I couldn't see turn based system. To be turn based I guess there should be end turn system. Until pressing "end turn" you shouldn't move same object twice. (if its not a horse or tank maybe :))

Hello, there I have Construct 2, so unfortunately I cannot open this file. But I was hoping you could just give a very basic overview of the concepts you used to create the grid, move characters between spaces on the grid and to keep track of such movement such that they had to end their turn.

@daj857: You should rather check the C2 boards directly. For example the "how do I FAQ" you would have found:
