Heya Abhilash - how hard would it be to convert this into an space invaders kinda game with a fixed background? I'm totally inexperienced in construct and have a minimal scripting background, but I'm tempted to take on construct2 if I can hammer out a small space invaders re-imagination if it's feasible.

Even though making a space invaders clone won't be too hard, I don't think this example would have any similarity to it except the movement of the player ship. I'll try make an example this coming weekend. |

Even if it's been posted 3 months ago, I thought it was important to mention that those 2 tutorials got me started with Construct and I appreciate this very much!

I think this will come in VERY handy soon. I decided that a vertical shooter would be my first game on the free version. Once I've got some experience with that, i plan to shell out for the Standard.
Thanks for tut! Question regarding this: I see you did it in the old version of Construct. I'm assuming that all the same rules apply in Construct 2? The location of the options might be a little bit different, but overall the same? Edited by larrimo - 14 Feb 2012 at 1:09am |
