    reminds me of a old genesis game I had rented once when I was a kid, I can't recall the name of it, but yeah even how the character moves and how some objects collisions are setup.

    i think im getting old -- many people say the character is a bit slow, but i just find most games nowadays to be just too damn fast ;P i wanted it to feel more like goldenaxe than supermario, more "adventure game" and less platformer... speed and zoom were set with that in mind. and of course, with a slow characte the map seems to be bigger... im considering introducing different playable characters anyway, they might be a bit faster.

    I really like the mood of it all, and the art.
    Interesting that a bunch of people said the game is too slow, I think though its the jump and fall speed that feel too fast compared to the rest. It's almost disorienting IMO
    Also, the position of touch controls feels weird. Google "Unity-chan's Action Shooting", for instance. it looks more like typical gamepad, specially with the directionals on the left.

    Anyway, I'm hoping to see more of this game, it got so much style!

    I love the artwork, and the game play. Everything worked well for me. Didn't think his walking movement was slow at all. Sound effects were perfect too, and big thanks for the capx file. I'm not a big fan of killing games, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the work here.

    This was really fun! I die a lot in games, so I liked that every time I died there was a new background and music file. It made it rewarding whenever a minotaur murdered my poor axe guy. I didn't think the walking was slow, it just gave it a nice retro feel--like the zombies returning from the dead. I also love that the goblins hide and jump out sometimes. Even with the game being a demo it had a lot of clever touches that made me grin. Thanks for making this!
