Game Instructions

The download file I've provided doesn't seem to work in the construct 2 application, but does work in the browser based construct 3.

Top sliders change hue (color), middle sliders change the saturation (dullness/brightness) and bottom sliders change luminosity (lightness/darkness)
OK button changes the layout and allows movement (serves as a test to make sure customized attributes will remain)

Character Customization Test with Adjust HSL

Version 1.0.0.0

by seekins
First published on 19th August, 2018

Edit 1: Updating the game is apparently broken, however the most recent version can be found by downloading the file below. This file only opens in Construct 3

I wanted to experiment with making a character customizer. This one uses the AdjustHSL effect with sliders to change the colors. Different patterns are stored as separate animations.

I did make the pixels myself!

If you download the file and drop&drop it into Construct 3 you'll be able to have a look at sheets for it.
The pattern and the base of the dog are separate. Both objects have an Adjust HSL effect on them. Each slider corresponds to one of the Adjust HSL values. The sliders you assign to change the Hue only need to go from 0 to 100, but the other two can go higher than 100 if you find that the saturation/luminance isn't going far enough
