Arrows to move.
V - Charge (Ineffective against spiders, more powerful against everyone else)
C - Block
X - Stab (Effective against spiders)
Z - Roll

Play as Ylva, a hardened warrior, as she takes on a role in one of her clan's legends. Defeat the monsters who infest the world and gather their strength to make the world safe for her people.

This game was going to have many more enemy types, but I ran into the limit of 100 events for the free version pretty quickly. If I win any store credit, it's going toward buying a personal license so that I can make this game better.

Eventually I'll update to add sound. Oh, also - does anyone know how to make the default platformer behavior read the up key reliably?

    I like the circular-world and it's a fun game. I gave it 3 stars since the controls/movement feels a little clunky, but overall it has good potential.

    There isn't just one attack key! "V" has no effect on the spider-enemies, you have to use "X." Every other enemy is susceptible to both attacks. The bull/boar has a lot of health, and you have to roll to avoid the attacks.

    Where are you getting caught/on what objects are you getting caught? I want to fix this problem, but I need to be able to replicate it.

    Oh OK- I would suggest putting those controls on your opening scene because I did not see them and maybe tell people which attack kills which creature so it is clear.

    The character gets hung up where the wall meets the floor and won't reverse without pushing controls several times.

    I would say it feels clunky because you get caught on the environment like Lamar said. When the world scrolls; it looks like it's movement is a little jaggy, so I think it could be smoother, and I think the player should start with more health since it's a little hard.

    Is there a particular location where the character gets stuck? I can't find one. Also, the controls are on the screen at the beginning of the game.

    Being able to cling to the sides of walls is a problem I can't seem to get rid of. As far as I can tell, it's a problem with the platformer behavior within the engine. If anyone else has run into this problem, it'd be great to hear what their solution was.

    The best thing I can think of right now is maybe making sure the hit boxes for the main character are the same for each frame. There are lots of tutorials on this site though if you need help.

    Yeah, that's what I found too. I've read a lot of the tutorials and made the hit box for the main character the same for each frame. I even tried using just a rectangle for the platformer behavior, and even that doesn't help.

    Well, I've uploaded the CAPX if anyone is interested in how it was made!
