We recently added support for exporting to Tizen, Samsung and Intel's upcoming mobile platform. Devices should launch later this year - but to kick-start their app store, Tizen are running an incredible competition called the Tizen App Challenge! There are a total of $4m in prizes available, including a $200,000 grand prize for the best games in a range of categories, with 2 x $100,000 for runners-up, and 3 x $40,000 for "honorable mentions" - for each category!
Not only that but there is an additional prize specifically for HTML5 apps - the top 10 ranked HTML5 submissions are eligible for an additional $50,000 prize! And of course, anything you submit using Construct 2 is 100% HTML5.
Tizen has an excellent browser: it supports WebGL, the Web Audio API, and much more. In fact it scores 91% on ScirraMark, the only thing missing being WebRTC (so the User Media object won't work). This means your games can run with maximum performance and make use of awesome WebGL shader effects. Our Space Blaster performance test averaged 60 FPS on a test device - not bad! And like Windows 8 and Blackberry 10, HTML5 apps can be published directly to the app store and appear just like native apps, but keeping the full capabilities and performance of the browser.
This means it should be relatively easy to make a high-quality port of any of your existing games, with relatively little effort. There's a lot to be won, so it's probably worth your time. And yes - existing games can still be entered in to the competition.

Unfortunately only submissions from certain countries are allowed. The allowed countries are: Australia, Belgium, Canada (excluding Quebec), China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Thailand, United Kingdom, Ukraine, United States, and Vietnam. We're sorry if your country is not listed, but it's not our competition - this is what Tizen have announced.
Publishing to Tizen
Tizen Web App packages are based on .wgt (widget) files, which are basically a zip of the exported project including an extra config.xml file. The SDK also provides the Web Simulator to test your games on. Actual Tizen devices can be hard to come by since there are no devices commercially available yet. However if your game runs well on Chrome for Android, Safari iOS, and in the Web Simulator itself, it's probably enough confidence to go ahead and publish your Tizen game. After all, one of HTML5's strengths is the cross-platform support.
