Stable update r119 adds a lot of new features since r114! This includes exporting Windows, Mac and Linux desktop apps via the new node-webkit exporter; new 9-patch, List and WebSocket plugins; and new Turret and Pathfinding behaviors. As always, it's worth going through the full changelog if you want a complete overview of everything that has been done, but in summary the changes are:
- r115 (11 changes): dropped Awesomium in favour of node-webkit desktop exporter; also supports Mac OS X desktop apps; better performance in CocoonJS
- r116 (9 changes): support for Linux desktop apps via node-webkit; new 9-Patch and WebSocket plugins; new Turret behavior; bug fixes for Windows Phone 8
- r117 (17 changes): new Pathfinding behavior; checkbox buttons
- r118 (15 changes): new List plugin; bug fixes and optimisations
Note we're also now updating the Steam build simultaneously with both stable and beta updates, and the Steam build now also uses the 64-bit version of Construct 2 where supported (the initial release was 32-bit only).
As ever there have been a large number of bug fixes since the last stable release, so we encourage all users to upgrade. If you'd like to play with new features like these sooner, be sure to stay up to date with beta releases.
If you'd like to learn more about all the new features, the manual has now been updated to cover all the new features since r114, and a few new templates and examples have been added in to the Start dialog too. Check the links in the changelog below to see the new documentation. Stay tuned for more to come!
