New this build: several bug fixes, and some changes to how Cordova iOS publishing works.
Cordova iOS publishing changes
Unfortunately Safari 10 has a bug that breaks apps using UIWebView (i.e. "Use WKWebView" was not enabled; see this forum post for more info). There is not currently a clear solution to this problem. Given that WKWebView works on iOS 9+ which currently has 88% share (as of before the iPhone 7 release which should increase it), and WKWebView is also considerably faster, we have decided to experimentally disable UIWebView support. Some of our old blog posts mention problems with WKWebView, but by now it's actually well tested and supports all Construct 2's features, including video.
Note that to use WKWebView on the Intel XDK you must use the new project format as well; consequently we've removed the option for that as well, and always use the new project format.
We would prefer to leave this change in place since it simplifies iOS support and means you get better performance by default, as well as avoiding the tricky broken UIWebView situation. However there may still be unidentified bugs with WKWebView, or support for iOS 8 and older may still be important to some users. We asked for feedback in the previously linked forum post; if you run in to any problems with WKWebView-only support, please let us know in that thread.
We'd love it if you could show your appreciation of it by retweeting and sharing it on Facebook and Twitter!
