New this build: a batch of bug fixes and tweaks, notably fixing an issue with iOS 9 and script minification that was introduced in r240. We've also now disabled some editor notifications about memory use and texture sizes since they're not particularly useful any more. (It's interesting that we've had multiple requests to disable the 1GB memory warning - apparently Construct 2 holds up OK even with such large projects!)

This is likely the last build of the year and we'll be having some time off over the next couple of weeks for holidays, so things may slow down for a bit. We wish everyone a merry festive season!

Changelog

Change

Editor will no longer warn about projects estimated to use over 1GB memory

Change

Picture editor no longer warns about non-power-of-two sized tiled images because WebGL 2 makes it irrelevant

Bug Fix

6th '8 direction' example was missing in last build

Bug Fix

Browser plugin could cause issues on iOS 9 and with minifier

Bug Fix

Platform behavior: disabling solid on the floor beneath the player now causes the player to fall through it

Bug Fix

User Media: specifying a camera video size could cause a Javascript error

Bug Fix

Picture editor: should now correctly handle poly/image point positions over 1000

Bug Fix

8 direction: could make object disappear if used with 9-patch

Bug Fix

Changing array/dictionary instance variable values, or layer 'global' setting, did not always enable save

Bug Fix

Sine behavior: now immediately updates after a 'set cycle position' action

I really want to thank the Scirra team and the community for doing what they do. Honestly, you guys helped me find my niche in life, allowing me to bring my imaginations to life, even if I am yet to publish my game after so long. Some of the things I have achieved whilst developing my game, I never thought it would be possible with no coding or developing experience. I have a big surprise for everyone here once I am ready to show all. Hopefully it will be done next year. Merry Christmas, have a good new year, and I hope everyone has a safe one!
