Nothing too much exciting in this release - just a big pile of bug fixes and a few tweaks to fix some issues that came up with the new animations system in r47. Remember the description of the animations system is still available on the r47 page on the left.

Last build I mentioned I lost the changelog for r47. Instead of editing r47 I've just added the forgotten changelog items to this build. So a couple of these changes were actually in r47, but only made it to this changelog :)

Changelog

Add

Text: Initial visibility property.

Add

'Edit texture/animations' to right-click menu of object types in project and object bar.

Change

Upgrade to jQuery 1.6.2 (was on 1.6.1)

Change

By default, exported applications now request jQuery from the Google content delivery network (CDN) rather than providing a copy of the jQuery library. Most users will have a cached copy of jQuery from the Google CDN, so won't have to download it, making your page load a bit quicker.

Change

The export options dialog will always default to a new folder that doesn't already exist (by adding numbers to the end of the default folder name).

Change

Since the new options can make exports take longer, Construct 2 updates the status bar with the current task during project export.

Bug Fix

You could close a project with the texture editor still up.

Bug Fix

The object panel in the parameters dialog unnecessarily showed a horizontal scrollbar.

Bug Fix

Could not change a layer name by case only.

Bug Fix

'Add variable' on the ribbon is now enabled when no events are selected.

Bug Fix

Animation preview dialog sometimes did not work or was really wide

Bug Fix

Internet Explorer 9 did not show the Canvas if it was rendering the site in compatibility mode.

Bug Fix

Animation frames window should no longer initially appear off the bottom of the screen on small displays (you'll need to delete the Construct 2 registry key to re-test this, or it'll have already remembered its last position).

Bug Fix

Check failure changing an object's name from the properties bar.

Bug Fix

Sprite: 'set animation frame' sometimes hung the runtime if you gave it a float (e.g. 3.5).

Bug Fix

'Pick random object' hung if you gave it a float

Bug Fix

Copying and pasting sprites between projects was broken by new animations system, now fixed

Bug Fix

Cloning sprites was broken by new animations system, now fixed

SDK

For object instances: add_bbox_changed_callback()

conitnued...

animation preview works like a charm.
One thing though, could it be possible to have animation preview window open all the time when you inside Edit Texture? like animation or animation frame window, maybe with the little play/stop button. Although it it realy sweet to finaly have animation preview in Construct :D
