New this build: you can now publish to the Google Chrome Web Store! See this tutorial on Publishing to the Chrome Web Store for more information.

Offline support is also much improved - both Chrome Store apps and iOS web apps should work when the user is offline, so long as the app was fully downloaded earlier when the user was online. It's a nice step on the way to making web apps more like native apps.

Publishing to the Chrome Web Store

Support for HTML5 AppCache. The HTML5 exporter now exports a file called 'offline.appcache'. This allows web apps to run in the browser even when there is no internet connection available, from the last downloaded copy. Most modern browsers support this (not IE9, but IE10 when it comes will). This is handy for iOS and Chrome Store web apps, since they should keep working even after you've gone offline - much more like native apps. Note: when uploading, you need to make sure your server is configured to serve .appcache files with the MIME type text/cache-manifest.

Project properties: Description and Version. These are used when exporting to the Chrome Web Store, but you might also find them handy for your own records.

Browser: 'On went online' and 'on went offline' triggers. Possibly useful with the new offline support, since you can detect the user coming online and going offline during the running of the app.

Each layout now remembers its 'snap to grid' settings

Text box: the 'password' yes/no property has been replaced with a 'type' property, with 'Text', 'Password', 'Email', 'Number', 'Telephone number' and 'URL'. This is useful to change the kind of on-screen keyboard that comes up on touch devices.

Physics: 'Create limited revolute joint'. Create revolute joints that can only spin through a certain range of angles.

Numbers added to text either by 'Set Text' or the & operator are rounded to 10 decimal places. This should prevent small floating-point inaccuracies being converted to text like "3.600000000000002".

Bug Fix

Game could freeze if you destroyed an object during a 'Wait' action

Bug Fix

Sprite: 'Auto-mirror' and 'auto-flip' could cause objects to flicker the first time each animation was played. Now there should be no flicker.

Bug Fix

Touch: Touch.X and Touch.Y should return the position of a touch in the 'On touch end' event.

Bug Fix

Physics: sometimes invalid collision masks (e.g. lines of the polygon overlapping each other) would cause a check failure when previewing. Now an invalid collision mask does not show an error and reverts to bounding box.

I'm glad about that auto snap to grid. It was only a couple of days ago it was mentioned on the fourm.

Thanks Ash.
