New this build: experimental support for building phone apps with PhoneGap! This allows you to build iOS, Android, Symbian, Blackberry and webOS apps online using the PhoneGap Build service. This saves you having to install lots of complicated development software on your computer. Please note this feature is a work in progress and is being made available for testing purposes only. You can read more about the feature in How to make native phone apps
with Construct 2 and PhoneGap. If you want to build iOS apps you'll also still need to sign up with Apple as an iOS developer, which requires a Mac and costs $99/yr. There's more information in How to become an iOS developer.
There's also an important stability fix: if you were experiencing Construct 2 closing without any messages when saving or previewing, hopefully this is now resolved. I found an issue in the HTML5 exporter that probably caused it, so fingers crossed, it should be OK now. I'm afraid the installer also clears your saved settings in the registry as well - the New Project dialog changed which required this. However, some users reported this improved stability anyway, so maybe it's for the best!
One more feature is a new option to support multiple screen sizes (see the changelog). This basically scales the game to fit the current window size. Hopefully you'll find this especially handy if you're trying to get your game to look good on phones, tablets and desktops!
