New this build: new advanced event features including 'Or' blocks, 'Else', 'While' loops and 'For each (ordered)'!

This is as per the what next poll. Although online multiplayer came high in the poll, that's probably going to be postponed - see my post on page 11 for the reasoning. If you want to help influence the future of Construct 2 watch out for future polls and make sure you get your vote in!

Please note the new event features may have bugs in them. As usual please take care with beta releases and backup any important projects before using. Or, even better, set up a daily backup to DropBox!

New 'OR' blocks in event sheet (right click: Make 'Or' block). Event runs for any condition that is true or trigger that fires in the block. Effectively the same as copy+pasting the event with different conditions (so actions run more than once if more than one condition is true). Combine with subevents to mix 'AND'/'OR' logic.

New special conditions: 'Else' (currently logic only, no pick inverting), 'While' (repeat while rest of conditions are true), 'For Each (ordered)'

Sprite: 'Is overlapping at offset' condition

Array: 'Is empty' condition

Text box: 'Textarea' type: multiline text input (corresponds to 'textarea' HTML element)

Export to PhoneGap: 'Hide status bar' option which now defaults to enabled. (This sets the 'fullscreen' preference to 'true' in config.xml)

Anchor behavior: 'Set enabled' action

Breaking change: Sprite's 'Is overlapping' condition used to effectively have a built-in 'For each'. This broke more things than it fixed (e.g. following with a 'Pick topmost' would not work, and having triggers as subevents also would not work). So now it no longer does this and simply picks the relevant instances like normal. This can cause subtle changes in games which used to rely on the loop-like behavior, but should work better and more predictably in most projects.

Bug Fix

Possible crash undoing 'Duplicate layout'

Bug Fix

Looping conditions are no longer invertible

Bug Fix

Button, TextBox: could disappear in fullscreen mode

Bug Fix

Switching to fullscreen mode with WebGL enabled could cause some textures to turn opaque black

Bug Fix

Editing actions or conditions may have picked wrong behavior if object had multiple behaviors of the same type (e.g. 4 'Sine' behaviors)

Bug Fix

Cloning an Array made an unusable object with no instances or properties.

New 'pf_nosize' plugin flag, which prevents the object being resized in the editor

Hey, but I think that OR shouldn't work like this "(so actions run more than once if more than one condition is true)". Is it only my opinion?

I agree with tecbug, executing the same event several time is not the usual behavior of an OR condition...

Besides this, thanks for adding these features, it will help clean up my code alot
