This build is a stable release update. It only has minor changes since the last beta, r94. If you're upgrading from the last stable release r90, be sure to check all the changelogs in between to see all changes made since r90. This includes, in brief:
- r91 (18 changes): family behaviors, support for letterbox fullscreen modes, a new Dictionary data storage plugin
- r92 (20 changes): support for importing project files, automatic spritesheeting on export, support for iOS retina displays, performance improvements
- r93 (12 changes): support for loader layouts so you can make custom loading screens, Sprite and Tiled Background can load images from a URL
- r94 (22 changes): new User Media plugin beta to access the user's webcam (Chrome 21+), support for snapshotting the canvas, Windows 8 Metro apps support updated for the latest Windows 8 Release Preview, lots of smaller plugin and behavior improvements
Please note the following breaking changes since r90:
r91 - the way parallax layers are positioned is now calculated slightly differently to prevent misalignment. However, this may require changes in existing projects. A common problem is positioning a sprite at WindowWidth / 2 no longer places it in the middle of the display; for that you need to use the new viewport expressions and write (ViewportLeft("Layer") + ViewportRight("Layer")) / 2.
r94 - the Bullet behavior no longer updates the angle of motion if the object angle is changed and its 'Set Angle' property is 'No'. You may need to add a separate 'Set angle of motion' action in the Bullet behavior, or just change the 'Set Angle' property to 'Yes'.
As always, we strongly recommend all users upgrade to the latest stable release. This will prevent you from running in to bugs and other problems we've already fixed.
Image editor improvements are scheduled next. Over the next few weeks we'll begin adding image editor tools and other improvements in the coming beta releases.
