Am I really limit to 100 events in free edition?

Yes, I'm afraid so!

100 events does let you do quite a lot though, check out this great tutorial by Kyatric:

Then it means the end of Construct for me. Shame as I just understood how it works and wanted to spend long time with it. Guess it's better to break up with Construct after 100 events than after 1000 :/

That's a shame, look out for competitions in the future on our blog though where you can win licenses.

Like Tom said, 100 events can actually do quite a bit. But if you are serious about game development, $100 for a personal license isn't really that much in the long term.

While I was playing around with C2 using the free version most of the prototypes I made rarely needed more then 100 events. The reason I ended up buying the full version was actually for the Families feature which allows you much more freedom to make games with even less events.
