1.) I want to do a weapon selection similar to Megaman's. I.E

[X] Weapon 1
[X] N/A
[X] N/A
[X] Weapon 4
[X] N/A
[X] Weapon 6
[X] Weapon 7
[X] N/A

Like This. Basically, When selecting left or right, it would go to the next enabled weapon.

2.) I want to do a trail that follows that path of a ball.
Basically, I want this tail

To act as a trail for this orb.

Would I have to use a distort map?

For the orb trail I suggest you check out Deadeye's example [url:1busv9jd]http://upload.namelezz.net/downloader.php?file=5912610_lightstreak.cap[/url:1busv9jd].

It's pretty.

I have one more question. I want to get some thing swarm around an object.

I tired something like " Set angle towards Sprite.X, Sprite.Y", but the objects just stays at the X and Y point of the sprite it's aim for. I want to swarm around, not "hug" it.

If you don't want to use physics (which does work rather well mind you) then you can do a "rotate towards object by x degrees" to get a similar effect.
