8 Direction Sprite Interaction with Rotate Sprite.

Get help using Construct 2

I have an object (384*384) that rotates at 30 degrees/sec. And I have a sprite (32*32) with an 8 Direction behavior. The rotating object is a carousel and the 8 Direction object is the player. How can I have it so that the player is able to "walk around" on the carousel while it moves?
If I pin the player to the carousel on collision then the player can't move.
If I pin the player to the carousel while overlapping the carousel then nothing happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

your code is working properly, it's just you are not adding trigger once while true for your is overlapping condition, and if you are interested to know why?

because IS OVERLAPPING is a timed condition like Every-tick it will do the action every time it's true, then it will keep pinning the 8Direction object to a new postion related to the big object every time which will make it in the same position.

So is there a way to let the green sprite move around on the rotating red sprite without getting "stuck"?

pffft
maybe work if you put "imagepoints" to the player and "set position" to the carousel.also putting imagepoint for carousel

carousel.ImagePointX("number of imagepont")
carousel.ImagePointy("number of imagepont")
and put a condition/trigger to release movement

(MAYBE) :v
pd: this is if you want the player follow the rotation of the carousel. I really dont kwon wat is you locking for...

I do not have construct 2, but thanks anyway ;'c
maybe If I can buy it this month can do something interesting with this
