This seriously looks like everything I love about local multiplayer games. Watching the video on Steam, I could hear me and my buddies cursing at each other already :lol:

Love that you added a "dash" to the trap run mini-game. Great mechanic that puts the risk in the player's hands and clever game design on your part ;)

@matrixreal Hehe, thank you :D

@bclikesyou Glad to hear that. I'm just making a game I think is fun to play and at this point I know others do as well. It has started to be a thing among my friends and now everyone plays a couple of rounds of 8Bit FIesta before they go out :P It feels good to make a game people actually play even if you as the developer isn't around. But there is still alot to add to make it last a long time.

What dash mechanic are you talking about? The one being able to kill the other players or something else? :D Is it in this video?

@Anonnymitet Ah my bad. I was referring to "sprint".

While it makes sense to sprint through the whole level, it also seems like sprinting would increase your chances of losing control and running in to a hazard. Thought that was clever because instead of being a static hazard, it's a variable mechanic that changes depending on the player's skill. Of course, this is just what it seems like from the video; I haven't tried the game yet!

Oh, I see. Yes sprinting makes it alot harder and you usually only use it if you are in last place and have to catch up to the other players :) But in the beginning it's very hard with all the obstacles. But each obstacle gets destroyed after killing two players so the level gets easier and easier so even the worst players can reach the goal :P

@bclikesyou I'm working on making alot of variations of all the levels and also add random placements of obstacles so no one can learn how each level plays out.

Atm I'm adding a singleplayer story which will be totally different from the multiplayer with alot of humor and challenging gameplay. So it's like making two totally different games. Or actually it's like making alot of different games because every mini game is a small game on its own with totally different gameplay.

I'm just not sure how far you can take the humor. I'm a fan of dark/brutal comedy such as southpark and would like the singleplayer to have that approach. But I don't know if that is too much for the majority of the players?

But the game is gory and has a built in drinking game so maybe that would suit it nicely. What do you think?

Does anyone have any advice on this? :)
