9-Patch Hotspots

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Need more 9-Patch Hotspots

There currently is only Top-Left and Center
I'm in current need of Top-Center to make my problems disappear.
If there is a way to do this with out downloading alternate plugins, I would be greatly appreciate it :D

Should put it in a future update please :D

Out of curiosity why exactly do you need Top-Center ?
Wouldn't the BBoxTop expression something you could use ?
New to Construct ? Where to start

Im using the nifty plugin LiteTween from lunarray found here
http://www.scirra.com/forum/behavior-easetween_topic53288.html

and when I use the a scaling method of tween it would scale ether from top left or center :P kinda obvious its best if i upload an example

I have not yet looked into what you suggested yet but I know if what I'm requesting was implemented it would save time for when others attempt simple alignment properties.

This is my example here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25818498/Construct%202%20Forums/9PatchHotspotForums/index.html

When you press Start (Controller) or Enter the 9-Patch (Menu) would rise and expand along with Window in the back of the Panel but the back panel window scales from the center and if I could just change the hotspot on the 9 patch it would be working properly.LoganJFord2013-06-29 07:18:18

For this, a workaround would be to use a normal sprite to do the resizing, and have you set the X/Y of the 9patch to an imagepoint on the sprite.

Do this and then adjust the width/height of the "menu BG sprite" (normal invisible sprite). Since you can set the origin to the center top you should have no problem with that. Then when the "menu BG sprite" is being resized, you resize the 9patch the same way, and then set it's X/Y to the appropriate imagepoint on the "menu BG sprite"

This should work as a workaround for your issue, but should work until there is more hotspots on 9patch.

i see pretty much like a node ok i don't know why i didn't think of that i use that method often to make menu systems

As to staying on topic i still believe having more "Hotspot" positions available would be a nice addition
