A Graphic Novel

I'm considering using Construct 2 to animate the digital comic I've been working on (step 1 - finally must buy Construct 2). Very simple animations would be involved, but I'd include sound effects and music as well. I'm thinking about animated fog, smoke, clouds, fire, starlight - something to add ambience without distraction.

I'd be interested in any feedback people may have to offer; you can see some of what I'm doing on my dA page.http://seothen.deviantart.com/art/Animating-a-Comic-380161135?ga_submit_new=10%253A1372022115

@seothen

Best of luck with your comic project. I come from a comic art/writing background myself, so I'll be watching how it develops with interest.

The biggest problem you're likely to run into is memory issues, as lots of full sized images can cause slowdown and other problems. Do plenty of tests, experiment with compression techniques and reuse images in a creative way when possible.

Yes construct 2 is the best end easiest way to do this.. I made some early mockups of my graphic novel too.. it has anything you want .. and for extra animation paths u could buy spiter (animation tool ) or spine ( soon will support construct 2) for better and more complex (bone)animations

(nice art btw ;))stefanos2013-06-24 22:55:08

@Dave Hailwood Thanks for the info - it looks like I'll be doing lots of experimenting.

@stefanos Thanks and it's good to know this is a real possibility.

@mineet Thank you very much!
