You're an Agent of the Universal Network Communications for Law & Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.)!
  • I made a quick & dirty agent simulation with Construct. Here's a screenshot : <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1412774/AgentSim/demo.png" border="0">

Each agent has some energy at the beginning, and search for some food. If it eats some, he get back some energy. If energy goes down to zero, it dies. They can't see food if it's too far away from them...

The "graph" shows how much agent you have with energy under 20, with energy between 20 and 40, and so on...

    Edit : here's a link to the .capx : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1412774/AgentSim/agentsim.capx

There's several Layout, each one present a new "complexity" in the simulation, but only one layout at a time is running, you need to set it at the properties of the IDE (and there's no possibility to change layouts during the simulation).

  • That was interesting, I put the food on the blue bar and they went crazy trying to get it lol.

What inspired you to create this?

  • GenkiGenga : ah yes, I didn't though about the case where you can have food on the blue bar :p.

I made that as a base for a simulation I want to develop, where the little "agents" can reproduce themselves, evolve genetically, etc... A bit like the game "Creatures" with the Norns, if you remember.

  • I cant remember playing many of the creatures games. I like this though, cant wait to see more.

Playing it through a second time I let most of them die off, then put a bunch of food in the middle and it was cleaned up by just one of them! lol the quick and the dead. :)

  • I found your Little Agents Simulation to be very interesting. I'm interested in doing something similar with a predator-prey game.

I'm new to Construct 2 and would love to see how you made your program, Pode. Would you consider sharing your AgentSim .capx file with me?

    Thanks!

  • I made something like this in CC but was never able to finished it. We used it for our project in our Artificial Intelligence class during my college days and we got the highest grade thanks to CC :). I still have the file of that but the events were too messy to continue.

  • I had made a "fsm" behavior before. Basically it is for agents simulation.

However I have no idea how to present it. This demo is a good idea to use fsm. I will release latter.

  • Broken lol by N7Effect, on Flickr

I sorta Broke your game lol

I made something like this in Construct, back a year ago. I was called Flabbly. Little Male and Female petri dish creatures that laid eggs and hatched babies. It was fun to watch. I erased the file on accident though. I still have the EXE somewhere though :) I made it so you could drag a species or two into an examination area and study it. I should re-create it in C2...

    Sorry, what is FSM?

  • finite state machine
