about collision polygons

when doing a show collision polys i see that every sprite, including sprites that will never use collisions, have a "best guess" poly on it,

should that be like that? doesn't that take extra resources how small it may be?

i see that there is disable collision property, should i do that for every object that doesn't need collision? it doesn't seem to change the polygon display

i also rather have a rectangle poly by default, if its for ease of use for cases where you need "best guess" by default i think it should be in preferences or project settings

If you don't check for a collision using a behavior or events, then it never checks for a collision with that object - the collision mask is just ignored. So it will have no effect if you enable/disable its collisions, try to reset the collision mask, or anything else. Just ignore it!
