...add music? (beta R 144.2)

Get help using Construct 2

How do I add music? I'm making a rudimentary stock market game at the present, and I'm planning on having the opening bell ring on the start of the layout.

I've imported the sound. Added an audio object.
But I can't seem to select the sound when try to use the "play action."

This works fine on 144.2. Would need a cut down .capx demonstrating it not working..

The audio files won't convert to .ogg for some reason.

just download audacity off sourceforce, (google audacity should be like first link) then open the sound file and save it as .ogg or .wav

.ogg is much smaller and has same sound quality if not better.

It supports .ogg or .wav and when you import an audio file it has an auto-converter to change it to .ogg and .wav but the audio files you're using won't convert. Yes, try third-party software such as audacity to convert outside of C2.
