No Ogg files means the editor won't see them, it is strangely not a bug but a design choice, ogg is the main format C2 supports, m4a is just a backup in case the ogg file cannot be read by the targetted browser/wrapper, both files are always required for full support though, but ogg is required for C2 to let you select the sound in the lists.

At least that is how it worked before, unless I misunderstood your question.

Also no capx to demonstrate which can result in a close bug.
Game design is all about decomposing the core of your game so it becomes simple instructions.

What Aphrodite has stated is correct and covered in the Manual, specifically:

Construct 2 favours the Ogg Vorbis format. When choosing a sound in the event system, only .ogg files are listed. A .m4a file is considered a back-up to the .ogg file for browsers which do not support Ogg Vorbis. This also means if you import a .m4a file with no corresponding .ogg file, it will not be listed in the event system. This is by design.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.

Closing as by design. We recommend importing 16-bit PCM WAV files. MP3 files cannot be transcoded to Ogg Vorbis. C2 regards Ogg Vorbis files as your set of sound effects, and MPEG-4 AAC (.m4a) are optional alternative files in case the browser does not support .ogg.
