AJAX with IE9

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:47 am

Hi everyone,

I am testing the AJAX plug-in and it is working fine with Chrome. But when I do try launching the same thing with IE9, it is unable to make the AJAX call successfully.

Does anyone have a clue of what is wrong with IE9?

Note: I have enabled the cross domain with Access-Control-Allow-Origin *.

I have found the following link. Starting in IE8, cross domain requests are enable via an IE specific object called XDomainRequest in the JavaScript client side.

AJAX - Introducing Cross-domain Request (XDR)

@Ashley is that supported in the AJAX plug-in?

IE9 simply does not support cross-domain requests in a standards-compliant way. IE10 does, though.

Thank you for your response. I will make sure to export my C2 game and my web services on the same domain when testing for Internet Explorer.
