Android Emulator

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Mon Apr 02, 2012 6:56 pm

without doing all the eclipse, android sdk installation etc.. is there a simple program which can load a html5 and pretend its an apk app so you can test if things like touch screen and tilting phone functions work for your app.

It too much trouble to export as HTML5, then zip up the folder, then upload as new phonegap app then wait for it to compile to apk then download to my phone, then install it and then tet it .

it would take too much time if its a difficult bug

It won't let you tilt it, but should be fast to test your game if you copy the address: localhost:50000/ into this, after trying your game with your normal construct test browser (Chrome?).
So far for me this is the only emulator that can simulate the touch properly.
All the others are using the mouse and allow even mouse scroll to be used.nemo2012-04-02 19:17:19

The pay version of Construct 2 includes the ability to Preview on LAN, so you can test it via a web browser on your phone. You can test tilting and touch that way.

I've done the Eclipse route. It seems like a lot of steps, but it's pretty simple. Once you've done it, you won't have to zip or upload. You can just hook up your computer to your phone.
