So I keep thinking generating random pieces pattern based on interconnection shared between edges that will determine which side will have bump (bulge) on them. The idea came from Sudoku like game with operator ">>"as a clue.

Image

The operator symbol should define as a value as following:
> , v = 1
< , ^ = -1
no operator = 0

Image

2 pieces shared a same edge which is shared same value but with different purpose depends on side it facing. We refer -1 as a subtraction since it also match the visual representation.

The result:
Image

- non border piece will have 4^2 combinations
- corner piece will have 4 x 2^2 combinations
- edge border piece will have 4 x 3^2 combinations
Total shapes = 68 variations

About creating pattern generator,
right now I only managed to gather values from node joints that intersect on each piece sides. No puzzle shape yet.

Thinking there would be 68 pieces shape makes me think to manage them into a table by comparing the value before converting them into correct sprite.

Hi @alextro, in this capx of yours, (that help me a lot!) wen we start the game the pieces are shuffled in the slider according to their Y (ascending), so all the pieces from the first row will be on top, them the ones from the second row and them the ones from the third row.

If is not ask too much, do you have some idea on how really shuffle the pieces totally randomly in the slider?

I've been trying this for some days now, but can't find a way to it, maybe you have some trick to save me?

Thank you again ^^
