Animation driven by audio volume

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Dec 10, 2013 10:54 am

Hi everyone,
I need an animation sequence to be played when the volume of an audio file is above a specific value and, viceversa, to be paused the animation when the volume is below a specific value.
Is there anyone who can help me with this?
Thanks

The fact that this post has no replies means that:
1- C2 can't do it?
2- None has ever done something like that before?
3- Nobody has a solution?
4- Nobody cares about it?

Please reply, I need a solution!

Thanks

Well, looking at the manual for the audio object:
https://www.scirra.com/manual/109/audio
It would appear that the Analyser effect could be used in the audio expressions. A search for "Analyser" didn't give too many results but almost all were relevant. One mentions that C2 comes bundled with an example in it's install directory which appears useful.

1. Looks like it can with the audio object.
2. Perhaps.
3. "Audio analyser.capx" in the Contruct 2's examples folder is a good start.

I'm going to take a look at it and let you know if I succeed.
