Animation frames quality

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 2:38 pm

Hello.

How can I increase the animations frames quality?
When I load a .gif file, made in Photoshop Cinstruct strokes my frames with white. How can I avoid this effect? Is it because of Construct, or I should use some special settings in Photoshop?

Thank you!

Use PNG files instead of GIF. GIF is a very old format from the 90s which doesn't properly support alpha channels or more than 256 colors. PNG is better in almost every way and is better supported.

Thank you, but how can I make several frames, like in a gif file? Or I should use sprite strip?

Yeah, use a sprite strip, or just save several separate PNG files.

@carminielloz:
Select the animation in the image editor, then to the left you should see "Loop" in the properties, set it to "Yes".
