People that have made games and done animations, what do you suggest the best way to animate a character is, once you have drawn an image of what it will look like in photoshop?komes2011-10-17 23:16:29

OK We have a basic player sprite drawn up and all his limbs on different layers. Is There some tricks of the trade for animating characters or should we just redraw him for each step of the animation.

Either you put each part of the character as a single sprite in C2 and animate it via events (your own animation system, eventually using physics)

Or you draw each frame of the animation and import them as frames of an animation. (the "regular"/designed way in C2)

I find the fast and easy way to animate is

cut out animation

This Tutorial is not free, but in the free exemple you can understand how this technik works
