Any C2 game demo that works on iPad ?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Hi guys,

Is there any C2 game that works well/decent on iPad ?

I'm testing out several hmtl5 engine right now,
and i really like how we can prototype game really quick using C2,
albeit from what i've seen, none of the game example in Scirra Arcade works on my iPad (1st Gen).

Is there any official C2 demo that works well on mobile device (iDevice/Android) that I might missed ?

btw some example of html5 demo that run quite well on my 1st gen iPad, and even on my 1st gen iPod :

they don't work because their author use the mouse plugin instead of the touch plugin which will allow you to play on both computer and touch devices.
@Ashley why don't you fuse the mouse and touch plugin together ?

There is an option for the touch plugin to use mouse input. I use this in my arcade game Too Hot For Jerry. I haven't had any proper tests with it so I don't know how well it performs.

Try this:

http://www.scirra.com/labs/sbmobileweb3

It's "Space Blaster" adapted for touch control. I haven't publicised this much though because it has a few problems:
- there's no sound because Safari doesn't support HTML5 audio properly (this can be worked around with the PhoneGap or appMobi containers)
- it was designed as a desktop game, so it's too intensive to get good performance on an iPad 2 (it will be worse on iPad 1). Games need to be designed to be simpler and less intensive to work well on mobile, but I haven't had time to do this
- there's no way to stop Safari changing orientation, which can mess up the game at certain points. It's designed for portrait

Try "Drop Da Piew" (in my signature).
It's supposed to handle mouse and touch.

I don't know though if an iPad1 will be able to handle the performances though.

This demo plays pretty great on my iPad2. Any chance you could link to capx so we can learn from the modifications you made in the touch version of the game? I would love to learn more about the nitty-gritty of ios and html5.

@mimancillas - this is an old thread from March. Since then the Space Blaster demo that ships with Construct 2 has been updated to work on mobile.
