I created two different HTML 5 games. When I test it in Construct the audio works fine ,but when I uploaded it to my website, none of the audio works. Any suggestions?

Here's one http://www.stemvillegame.org/PBSupdatedGame/index.html

Here's the other http://raiseyourmic.org/bully.html

If you press Ctrl+Shift+J (on chrome) and go over to Netword, you will see it calls for some sound files and the font file, but it returns an error '404 not found'. You probably didn't upload the sound file for some reason

Spaces in HTML names can cause problems. Try removing the spaces.

Thank you both for the replies. I checked and everything is uploaded. I also tried renaming with no spaces, but still no sound. I can hear it when I preview it on my computer, but not through the HTML5 game on my website. Any more suggestions? I had the music in construct as a sound, so I moved it to the music folder, but nothing changed.

The link that is failing now is not in the media directory, so that seems odd.

If you are able to post your CAPX that may be faster. Make a simpler test app if needed.

EDIT: Your server also has to support the OGG mime-type. You'll have to see how to get this corrected, if this is the issue.blackhornet2013-05-08 01:23:11

I just realized that none of the sound works on anything that I have been working on. Here is a smaller file www.nicbadila.com/iceCreamGame and here is the CAPX for it https://www.dropbox.com/s/w4kj5lmv8ywdadq/iceCreamGame.capx

Thank you. I am new to this and appreciate your help.

It must be the mime type. It works fine for me. If you have access to your server settings, you need to add support for: audio/ogg and audio/mp4

You may have to ask your provider to do this for you. I had the same problem.

@nicadoodle
I have been having the same problems as well. Someone mentioned something about importing ogg's and M4A's, but I don't have any programs that export to M4A. I wonder how other users are converting to sound files M4A.
I'm also going to check out blackhornets suggestion to see if it helps me.

Thank you! It was the mime type. I added a web.config file to the root directory for my website and it works now.
