audio peep

Get help using Construct 2

Hello,

I want to play a soundtrack on the start of a layout. When I use the Play event of the audio control, I only get some very weird peeping every few seconds.

My soundtrack is a .ogg file.

How to fix this?

I use Firefox.

Is there a reason for using Chrome? About 100% of all .capx files, which I downloaded at the forum, tutorial section or scirra arcade uses Chrome for the preview.

As Chrome came up there were some scandals about spying and saving information of the users, so I stayed away from it.Astrosus2012-12-29 23:34:48

Chrome is right now , the most recommended browser for html5 games , and probably the answer to your question ... Also , I've been using Chrome for quite a while and nothing happened , so nothing to be scared off !

@Whiteclaws: Chrome is OK but not "THE" solution.
FF is more than capable, and OGG format comes from free source softwares like FireFox.

@Astrosus: Post your capx and the sound you're using so we can try and have a ear by ourselves.
Make sure all your drivers are up to date as well as your version of FireFox (17.0.1 at the time of writing).Kyatric2012-12-30 00:22:04

I switched to Google Chrome now, but ogg still does not work. I converted it to wav and it worked.

Thank you all for your help!
