I got a billion sprites in my game... Thats not quite true.. But in theory, how do you avoid loading all of them at once?

Put them into another layout and set them to global. Now just create them in the loader/default layout from the sheet.

But I am already using the same sprite in 2 different layouts and sheets. And they are not checked 'global'...

I'm missing something here!

@WizLore ,

By what I know and my personal experience, C2 will load only the things necessary for the loaded layout, so, if you have a layout with everything, it will download everything, but if you have each layout with their sprites, so, C2 will download them only when necessary.

Thats nice to know... But then what is the point in checking a sprite 'global'?

Just to reduce load times on the next layout?WizLore2013-04-07 22:50:00

@WizLore
So, put it on the first layout and you'll have the same effect, or better, use the System conditionals to check if the game is downloading any update.
