ball doesn't bounce?

The ball in this example doesn't bounce unless I uncheck rotate object. I think this is a bug.

There is a tick box two lines below the rotate one that is 'Bounce off solids'.

I know that, but I don't want to bounce off solids. I only want to bounce off sprite2 objects.

Try this cap

It uses another sprite as "collision mask", the bounce should be applied normally.

This is rather a work around than a solution, hope it's what you're looking for

I think it just a way how ball behavior was made - solid object can only bounce of solid objects. If you don't want some objects to be bounced off, turn off solid for them :)
