Best Audio Converter

Get help using Construct 2

Hello Scirra Community,

I've been having some serious issues converting audio files since a couple of version ago. It hasn't affected my testing in Chrome, but it has affected Internet Explorer and more recently seems to be affecting any kind of iOS testing.

Here's a reference to my original issue (since closed... viewtopic.php?f=152&t=136344&p=922890&hilit=wav#p922890)

I've tried a few converters but they haven't worked out so well. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for converting wavs into OGGs and ACCs.

Thanks guys!

Have you tried fre:ac ? I find that usually works okay, though I tend to use its batch conversion to generate ogg and m4a files rather than using C2's built in importers.

I use AIMP3, it's a neat player and even comes with converting options (what you want), batch tagging. Pretty much the best music player around imo.

thanks guys! so far I've tried the program that @paulscottrobson suggested... works really well for batching, but for whatever reason it's still not working on iOS :\

Is this the first touch problem described here https://www.scirra.com/manual/109/audio - my experience of trying to use sound on iOS browsers is it is a very effective way of extending your vocabulary of swear words. I spent hours on a previous project trying to get something that works trivially on every other browser, even Internet Exploder.

I have long considered it likely that Mapple deliberately XXXXed up parts of the Javascript browser in Safari to stop people releasing JS games on it (keeping control of the Mapple store) and that's why they don't allow a Chrome browser (Chrome on iOS is the Safari renderer with a Chrome interface).

@paulscottrobson interesting - actually, it just doesn't load. Here's a quick link to the build if anyone wants to try it on iOS:
