Bound to Window

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to bound an object to the window, instead of the layout? I'm trying to create a space shooter that constantly scrolls to make it feel like the ship can never really stop. The ship is able to move around independent of the layout or window.

cant you just put the ship on a different layer??
the window is the "forth wall" if you like.

I'm not sure how that would help? The ship is already on it's own layer and it's not working. I'm talking about the game window, just for clarification.
