Hello,

I am trying to following an example/modify it to suite my needs. I followed it to the letter, with the exception of the constraints of the parallax. I wanted my bg to move a bit more. However, I am encountering an unusual issue, with my second layer sprite being cut off. I set the layer above to transparent, but even then that layer only has my main character sprite. I have tried adjust the position, adjusting the width, adjusting the scale and various configurations of transparent. At this point, I am not sure what I did wrong.

This is the tutorial i followed: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/314/pa ... ion/page-2

I apologize if this was the wrong place, but I would prefer a answer quickly, as I am learning this to teach some campers about parallax and the tutorial was to high level for them ( and apparently me too  ). Therefore, I am on a tight schedule.

If you need a quick answer you should provide screen shots, screen recordings and an example capx. ATM there's no telling what exactly is going wrong. A link to the example you based it on which is working properly is not much help, as it clearly doesn't have the same issue your altered version does., so we need too see exactly every way you altered it.

Is it the following tutorial you are referring to: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/314/parallax-effect-with-4-layers-for-construct2-free-edition?

If so, I recommend following it to the letter initially so you end up with a fully working example.

After that, you can experiment away on a copy of your completed tutorial and if it breaks, pleast post a link to it so we can try it for you.

Providing a .capx is always the quickest and most effective way of getting a prompt response, without the need for lots of guesswork.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.

I have just undid some of my attempts at fixing the problem(not the parallax deviations, because the original values were way too slow). The parallex works, but the problem is that It is cut off in an odd way. I can't see the bottom, but am also able to stand on the invisible solid object I created, despite the fact that it is actually on the bottom. I have made the wide larger before and never experienced this problem.

Thanks in advance and sorry about not providing more detail.

Hey Ehrlich, not sure if you still need help with this but you need to fix your link if so.
