  • Problem Description

After I tried preview the game with 'run layout' and sound effects, all the sounds of browser disappear. Even the sounds that don't have relation with C2 preview, like Youtube pages or Vimeo.

    Attach a Capx

    Description of Capx

Just colides player sprite with coin sprite and magic happens

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • 1 - Add sound effect* (play sound) on event sheet
(print of another game, not the same of the capx, but the same bug) *the sound effect was a .wav converted by C2 tool
    • 2 - Test the preview game with 'run layout'
    • 3 - Sound effect of the game is not working 3.2 - All sounds in browser stops to work, even no relation with C2 - like Youtube or Vimeo 3.3 - Close game preview and 'no sound browser' issue STILL persists with browser
    • 4 - Run Windows Troubleshooting Tool and detect some 'cache incompatibility' 4.2 - Solve 'no sound browser' issue with Windows Troubleshooting Tool 4.3 - Browser return to play sound in Youtube and other pages
    • 5 - Tests 'run Layout' again
    • 6 - Same bug **the sound effect works fine when exports as NW.js

    Observed Result

No sounds in browser even no relation with C2 tool or C2 preview

    Expected Result

Sound effect in C2 preview and no side effects with other browser pages

  • It's not normally possible for a web page to affect other app's sounds. So this sounds like a problem with the browser, OS, or audio driver, rather than any of our code.

  • I'm thinking it's a Windows Build preview. I'll try direct with MS.

    Tks Ashley
