Simple answer: no! :)

The Editor needs Windows to work. But the
games you create with C2 work in a browser
and because of this also on a Chromebook.

Will you ever add the ability to run construct on a chromebook?

I don't think you should expect such feature. If all goes well, Construct 3 will run on Windows, MAC and Linux. But very few users have Chromebook and it's not designed to develop software on it.

Ok, thank you. The school I go to uses construct for our video game development class and we are given chrome books. (told them it should have been windows laptops instead) That's why I was asking.

I would love to see a Chromebook-able version of Construct 2, but I can't see it happening anytime soon. Most of the students in the Chicago suburbs have either a school-issued iPad or a school-issued Chromebook, and Construct 2 happens to be (IMHO) the best tool for making web-ready games and simulations that run on these devices. It would be awesome to give all of our students the ability to make games, but the cost of the mobile devices also means that we are getting rid of our real computers.
