Add SubRip (SRT) subtitles to your videos in Construct 3
  • Hi all,

I know this question has already been asked before because, I checked in the forum and I saw that someone had the same problem and he was able to fix it. Unfortunately I'm not.

I would like to put my game card in my forum signature like a lot member do. But I can't. I think it's because the link for the game card is too long. How could I fix that ?

    Thanks.

  • Check this out.

Use lowcase bbcode for the url provided in the "Share" part under your game.

    Also moving to "Website issues".

  • anthonykojima, it will work if you follow the notes from Kyatric.

I also had some problems at first. But figured out you have to make a new post for the signature card to appear. It will not show in old posts.

  • Signatures are updated as soon as you "Save changes" in your profile, you don't need to make a new post.

You might have to reload (f5) a page you were looking at maybe (containing posts of yours), yes, but posting isn't a requisite for signature update.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Kyatric, yeah that is how signatures should work.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but, I still see my old posts without signature card. Different browsers, updated (F5) and still no signature.

    Strange...

  • Thanks guys for your help,

I tried Kyatric's solution and it worked. So apparently, it is better to use the lowcase bbcode url instead of the HTML one. And I got all my post's signatures updated to.

This is called by "cache".. F5 don't refresh cache for some pages, and this is one of the best and optimized page I ever see, so, you'll need to deleted and clear your history and cache files to see the update, what's easy with chrome.

You can use bit.ly to shorten links. That's how I manage to get a link to my platform tutorial into my signature. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Thanks for your advice. I never think of that solution and it's true it's very useful.

  • Ah, I used Bit.ly too, thought it was what had borked mine. :p

Kyatric - you are awesome! Thank you so much for ALL of the generous amounts of time you spend answering questions and posting helpful code. You rock.

  • I've been following the links here, and I'm also having trouble getting my signature include a link to my arcade game. The code I tried to use is...

    [&url=http://www.scirra.com/arcade/addicting-puzzle-games/3551/seaturtle-with-a-porpoise]<img src="http://www.onceuponourplanet.com/turtleavaanim.png" border="0" />[/url&]

    (Without the &'s.)

On preview I see the image link is ok, but its still not updating my profile. I cleared Caches, and I'll go clear again. Is my code goofy?

Ok, a few posts back somewhere someone said their profile did not update until they posted in the forums, and I guess this was the case with me as well, Wow If I'd just opened my big fat mouth here a long time ago it would have saved a bunch of wasted time,,,dooh! So yeah I needed to post here to check my link. Looks like its working now.

  • So I cleared all the histories and caches, and I'm having the same result that DownInBlack had last March. My signature is updated on these new posts. but not the old ones. Oh Well.

At least you could change yours, because I can't change mine!

    I wonder why that is?

I'm trying to add a link to my website, and it does not appear to be working. I think I went over my character limit or something,
