Can C2 handle an RPG ?

Hello i hae a pretty big project i would like to work on its going to be like a gta style top down but more of an rpg in the sence of dialogue ect. i was wondering if construct 2 is capable of handling a large scale rpg ???

It certainly can. Although I'd ask instead: can you handle creating a large scale rpg?

maybe you should take small elements and try to produce them stand alone... i.e. an inventory system, dialogue tree etc.. there are a lot of RPG threads on the forums with users that are soley working on RPGs..check them out..

Correct. You may need to do some trickery for effective Z-ordering (perfectly doable), and it will take a ton of time and resources, but C2 is nearly perfect for it. Mobiles, however, might not be and will take a LOT of effort to get it right.

This is the heart question of any developer. If a developer needs to ask "Can tool X do game Y". Most of the time the answer is. "Tool X can, developer A can't. At least can't right now." It's harsh, but often true. it's rare that a tool can't let you do something one way or another. often time the developers needs to really dig in.

So the question is. Can the OP develop an RPG with C2?
