Cannot open Project due to there being errors reading file.

Problem Description
____ When I try to open my project dubbed InPainSight it wont open and I'm given a message telling me that it had trouble reading attributes. ____

____ This Capx currently does not load when you try to open it and if you do try to open it you will be greeted with a message telling you that it had an error reading attributes ____

Steps to Reproduce Bug
  • Step 1: Use Construct 2 to open the project dubbed "InPainSight" and the bug will be reproduced.

Observed Result
____ You're given a message informing you that the project cannot open due to there being an error reading attributes. ____

Expected Result
____ I expect my project to open ____

  • Chrome: (NO)
  • FireFox: (NO)
  • Internet Explorer: (NO)

One of the layout XML files got corrupted. There's a line that looks like this:

<effect-fallbac <jump-strength>650</jump-strength>


Blue forest.xml also has a corrupt line.

There's nothing we can do other than fix the file unless you know what caused this in the first place. Here's a link to the recovered version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15217362/inpainsight_recovered.capx

You're lucky this was recoverable - you should definitely keep backups so you can easily revert in case this kind of thing happens. If there had been an unrecoverable error, this project would have been permanently lost.
