can't roll back up hill correctly

Get help using Construct 2

Hi,

I have a round sprite which I add physics to along with the hill.

The sprite rolls down correctly but doesn't seem it can handle

going back up properly. The round rolls back up but half way into

the hill.

I set everything to 0 for the round sprite but it did not work.

Thank You.

Am I understanding currently that the ball merges with the hill when it tries to go back up? Can rex's Push Out of Solid behavior possibly be used as a quick fix in this situation, if you were to designate the hill as solid?

If possible (and if you were okay with it) I could try looking at your .capx? I understand if you don't want to though.

How are you trying to push the ball back up the hill? Are you using force/impulse, or applying torque? There's a chance it could be an issue with collision boxes too.

:) How do I attach a file? Thanks.

Also how do I add plugin?

That is how physics works. You need to give you ball more lateral (x-direction) velocity.

You can attach files by uploading to various file sharing sites (Google drive, Dropbox, Jumpshare, etc.) then posting the link.

What should we see with this capx?
I only see a ball rolling down a hill and dissappearing on the right side of the screen after jumping a ramp..

There aren't any events, so there is no control over the ball..
How is it supposed to roll up the hill and when?
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

Hi,

So far I only apply physics to both objects, hill and ball. You can see when the ball roll back up the hill the ball goes inside toe hill but not to top of hill.

Not sure what event I need to get the ball to roll up the hill properly.

Thank You.

It might be me, but the ball never rolls up the hill or do you mean the little ramp?
I don't see anything wrong or unexpected in your capx..
It rolls down the hill, up the ramp an falls..
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

Hi,

If you look carefully at the right bottom of the ball it never touches the hill the top of the hill before it falls off the hill.

It looks as if the ball falls off into the green part.

Thank You.
